INTRODUCTION
Careguider is a Health-Tech start up founded in 2022 by Neal Packman, an experienced Technical Director in the Healthcare Sector developing Intelligent Workforce Solutions for Acute settings - helping address everyday operational pain points while tackling the wider complexities of Integrated Care Systems.
Careguider is the smart platform changing the future delivery of Health and Social Care in the community, bringing innovation to a sector where it matters most. Designed to guide, automate and optimise care delivery, Careguider offers a holistic digital solution that makes better use of staff, time, money and energy. By streamlining processes and reducing inefficiencies, it enables care professionals to focus on what they do best.
At its core, Careguider’s vision is to make care more accessible, easier to deliver, more efficient and more transparent for all involved. But at the heart, it is driven by a simple but powerful goal: to give carers more time for compassion - putting them first, so they can better care for those who need it most.
Brand story
Over 20 years in healthcare, Neal has worked with over 100 hospitals across the UK, spending over 8 of those years focused on improving efficiency in hospitals where it matters most. He designed and deployed advanced workforce systems that combine location data, intelligent algorithms and automation to transform how care is delivered.
The impact has been significant. Adopted across 11 NHS acute sites, these solutions enabled 30% more tasks to be completed with the same workforce, and 97% of tasks to be automatically prioritised and processed - improving day-to-day experiences for thousands of patients and staff.
But Careguider wasn’t born from just professional experiences - it was also deeply personal. When Neal’s mum was diagnosed with Dementia, he experienced first hand the frustrations and gaps within the community care system - and the impact it has on not just the patients, but on the carers and families too.
That combination of real-world expertise and personal experience sparked the idea for Careguider.
Today, Careguider is built to tackle some of the most complex challenges in community care - acting as a guiding hand for those on the front line. It’s not just another high-level platform. It has been built with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals across the sector, alongside the motivations that drive them. The result is a solution designed to work better for everyone - supporting not only the needs of today, but the demands of the future.
Brief
To create a distinctive and scalable visual brand identity for Careguider that reflects its role as an innovative, technology-enabled care platform. As a SAAS startup, it’s essential that the identity is flexible and digital-first, with a strong focus on delivering an accessible, intuitive user experience.
The brand should connect with users in a way that feels trustworthy, and user-centred. It needs to sit within the health care ecosystem, while still standing apart with a recognisable identity of its own.
Visually and emotionally, the brand should move away from stereotypical and clinical healthcare design. Instead it should feel warm, friendly and supportive - without losing a sense of professionalism. At it’s core, Careguider is about people. The identity should reflect this by showing genuine care and compassion, highlighting the positive impact the platform has on caregivers and the vital work they do every day.
Outcome
After lots of conversations to understand the complex landscape of the project, and using our strategic approach, we distilled the idea into a simple but powerful concept: a system of time-based parts with people at the heart.
The concept draws from the geometry of a clock - using simple, structured forms to represent time, coordination and efficiency. Curved lines illustrate care routes, while directional arrows suggest movement and connection. Together these elements reflect the Careguider eco-system: a data-driven system that seamlessly connects carers to the people and services around them.
Visually we expressed this through a bold, modern identity inspired by Bauhaus principles. Clean geometric shapes are paired with a balance of bold but trustworthy colours and simple sans-serif typography, creating a confident and scalable design system.
To balance the structured approach, the identity is brought to life through human, emotive imagery - capturing real moments between caregivers and those they support. This highlights the empathy, dedication and impact of care, showing how Careguider enables professionals to spend more meaningful time with people who need it the most.
The result is a brand that feels both intelligent and human: a flexible visual system that works seamlessly across the app UI, website and wider brand communications.

Logo Design
The Careguider logo combines a distinctive icon with a clean, modern word-mark set in the brand font, designed to be simple but meaningful.
At the heart of the identity is the brand icon, carefully constructed from geometric shapes that form a seamless fusion of the letter ‘C’ and ‘G’. An arrow shapes the tail of the ‘G’, symbolising direction, guidance and forward movement.
Centrally placed within the icon is the heart - representing care and compassion at the core of Careguider’s mission. Together these elements create a visual identity that reflects both the intelligence of the platform and the humanity behind it.
